A proprietary tamper-evident authentication device is physically bonded to the timepiece at the moment of authentication. Each device is unique to a single item and cannot be transferred, duplicated, or reverse-engineered.
The authentication device is applied by a Kronolok-certified dealer or our authentication team. The seal is designed so that any attempt at removal is immediately visible and permanently invalidates the certificate.
When the authentication device is activated, Kronolok generates a cryptographic certificate — a digital fingerprint binding the item, its provenance history, and its registered owner into a single permanent record.
This record is written to a distributed ledger. It cannot be altered, deleted, or overwritten by anyone, including Kronolok. Every certificate includes: model, serial number, authentication date, certifying dealer, and the complete ownership chain from the first registration.
When a Kronolok-certified watch changes hands, both parties confirm the transfer. The new owner is recorded. The certificate updates. The chain of custody is permanently preserved.
A buyer can verify authenticity before purchase with a single tap — no account required. Every transfer is timestamped and cryptographically signed. The result is an unbroken ownership record from first registration to the present moment.
